Brief Description:  Fuselage assembly #16

I've been very busy lately with the new addition to the back yard. A 21 foot pool and I'm building a two-tiered deck around it...Lot's of work to do on your own. The boss wants it done sooner than later, school is now out, so the girls need to enjoy the summer!

I was waiting for someone to come over and give a hand with the last few rivets on the bottom seam. Lauren didn't have the strength to keep the seam tight and handle the gun at the same time.

Long time friend Rob Baldasaro came over and quickly jumped to the challenge. Rob own's a C-170, and also flies the T-6. Anyway, with Rob on the gun, I got under the fuse and bucked away. Great job by Rob and I can now turn the fuse back upright and finish the fuel system install and then rivet the front skins on. I'm happy with the seams with the rear bottom skin adn the conical joints.

I received my EFII boost pump with the 90 degree fittings, the grove parking brake from ACS, a #8 nutplate jig for the removeable floors and the required nutplates and screws for it.

I was also playing with the grove gear and had them mounted briefly to see where I had to remove some of the brace for the brackets to fit.
